Hotel was great! It was in the perfect spot. It was within walking distance to everything in Old San Juan. The rooms were clean and very nice. Staff was great and chek in and out was a breeze.

the benefit to this hotel is the location, for sure. we stayed in san juan for 5 days with the intention of enjoying the city, restaurants, and local culture. this hotel was great for that. it's not right near a beach, so if you're looking for beach vaca then you'd be better served outside of old san juan. the forts, traditional restaurants, and bars are all within walking distance. there is a pretty good night life in old town, but sunday nights are super quiet. the hotel itself was not special...the casino is the lobby, and the lobby is the casino. the room was so-so, and the pool is on the roof (was never very busy so that was nice). we never ate at any of the hotel restaurants, so have no opinion. when cruise ships come in, it can be a little overwhelmed with new arrivers, fanny packs, etc. the staff was all really nice- if returning to puerto rico, we would totally stay in old san juan again. its a safe, cozy area that you can sink into. if the price was right, then we would return to the sheraton, no doubt. however there were a couple other boutique hotels in old town that looked a little nicer.

I choose this hotel off the internet for it's location and I was not dissapointed. It was beautiful and clean with friendly and helpful staff. Especially George at the front desk. The pool was small but I used it 4 or 5 times and never found it over crowded. It was on the roof which made it pretty at night. The rooms were small but very nicely decorated with all the little amenities a person could want and the most comfortable bed. We ate at their restaurant and found the food to be good. It I ever visit P.R. again I will definately stay at this hotel.

Pros: Hotel was very nice. Close to everything in Old San Juan, Rooms were clean, bathroom was nice and big. Hotel concierge was very helpful with recommending restaurants, side trips to go on. Cons: Check in procedures on Sunday (Cruise Ship Day) was a @$%$# nightmare. We arrived to find a 20 minute line to pre check in. So I got on that line while my spouse hung out with the luggage. I was told to come back at 3 PM to check in and get a room. Then I had to get in the 45 minute check you bags line. Three cruise ships were in port that day, but I was told this happens almost every Sunday. The lobby was completely packed with people either checking in bags to either stay at the hotel, or to leave them until later when they either left for the airport or to the cruise ship. Once we got back to the hotel at 3 PM, I had to wait for an hour on the line to get my room. Once in the room, we had to wait another 1 1/2 hours to get our bags, but only when I called to complain that there was medication in my bag that I needed (I lied). The bags were at my room in 5 minutes after the call. Again, hotel was nice, but if you are getting on or departing a cruise ship, or checking in on a day a cruise ship is in port, stay far away.
