My husband and I just spent a weekend in PR (July 9th - July 12th) and stayed at the Courtyard Marriott. I def recommend it. The staff is awesome and the hotel location is perfect. Friday and Saturday nights are full of fun, the beach and pool area are clean. There is so much to do in this hotel. The rooms are clean, a little stuffy, but if you turn on your a/c it's good. We're already planning our next visit.

The hotel is in a great location. Many services are located nearby and although across the lagoon from the beach there's a beautiful walking path along the lagoon. The hotel is up to date and clean. Ponce de Leon is lined with shops and even a full service Pueblo (grocery store) so there are plenty of options. The city buses also pass directly in front of the hotel with easy connections at the bus terminal in El Centro. Travel website was great for this hotel/location during season.

Marriott Miramar, while not on the beach, for the price and quality, is good. The hotel is very clean and the decor modern. It has a very small swimming pool and the gym is very very basic. They have a treadmill that is at the low end in terms of quality. They also have a stationary bike and some dumbells. Very very basic. Oh, by the way, the first three days, the hot water was hit or miss. Now, that's about as negative as I'll get. First, the hotel manager, to compensate for the hot water issue, provided us meal vouchers for the restaurant. We used it for breakfast and enjoyed our buffet. The room was very clean and comfortable. The staff provided excellent service. They were very helpful and provided us tips all week. For example, the staff told us we could catch the Ruta 1 bus to Old San Juan for fifty cents per person instead of getting a cab. The staff also told us to take a ferry from Old San Juan and take a cab for the Bacardi tour. The ferry was also fifty cents. The cab ride from the ferry to the Bacardi factory was three dollars. Condado beach is a ten minute walk from the hotel. Most of the places nearby is a * to $* cab ride so you won't even need a car. Overall, for the rate and the location, I would rate Marriott Miramar a four out of five stars.

Everything about the hotel was very satisfactory. The hotel location was not very convenient as it was far away from the beaches and night life. For the money they could have included continental breakfast.
